To increase the area under sugarcane crop as well as yield per hec. factory have implementing Cane
Development Schemes for the farmers is as follows.
To increase the yield per ha. as well as sugar recovery it is most important to execute the planting programme very efficiently. Early, Midlate and Late maturating varieties are recommended by considering the season wise planting.

To available disease free and quality seed of sugarcane in the area of operation, we have motivating the farmer to have a individual seed plots. We also distribute a breeder seeds from VSI and Padegaon institutes on credit basis to the farmer for foundation seed production and such seed were recommended to the farmer for certified seed production and from these recommended for commercial planting. Factory have own foundation seed plot on 9 acre area having drip irrigation automation for the same.
Factory have motivating the farmers for adoption of drip irrigation technique and providing technical knowhow through experts. We have implementing scheme by farmer contribution of Rs. 10,000/- per acre and factory contribution Rs.35,000/- per acre on interest free credit basis which is recovered from cane payment of next season.
The farmers are participating in drip irrigation scheme implemented by our factory have insuring their drip unit by taking premium of Rs.1,350/- per acre for 3 years. The risk covered under these as Burning, Theft, Miscellaneous damage etc. It is useful for farmers to getting benefits in any above accidental case.
A well enriched bio-compost is producing from pressmud at factory side. Decomposing bacteria is mixed in pressmud and also mixed distlary spentwash by aerotrailer and kept for one month and then distribute to the farmers 10 M.T. per acre at the Rs.528/- per M.T. on credit basis. It is useful in increasing sugarcane yield and improve the soil fertility status.
To improve the fertility of problematic soil in the area of operation and use of fertilizers on the basis of soil analysis. Factory have installed soil and water testing lab in season 2010-11. The recommendations for use of fertilizers is made on the basis of soil analysis.it helps to use balance dose of fertilizer for sugarcane crop.The parameters are Ph,Ec,OC,N,P,K,andfour micronutrient of soil.
Factory have started the krushi seva kendra in the service of farmers for providing fertilizers, seeds, Bio fertilizers, insecticide and pesticide,implements etc. for sugarcane cultivation at no profit no loss basis. We have dealership of Zuari Industries ltd. and Excel Crop Care Ltd. for selling fertilizers and other inputs.
To improved the fertility of soil by growing green manuring crops like Sunhemp and Dhaiencha ,seed of these crops supplied to the farmers. It helps to increase the yield of sugarcane.
To minimize the cost of sugarcane cultivation and to increase the yield per ha. by maintaining no. of milleable canes at the time of harvesting. This technique is very much effective to increasing yield. We supplied one eye bud seedlings to the farmers as per demand at the rate of Rs.2.50/- per seedlings.
To improve the structure as well as drainage of problematic soil we recommended to use of subsoilar in such salt affected saline soils and also made available these implements at each Gut Office area for the farmers at a nominal rent of Rs.250/- per day. It is also suggested to use subsoiler every after three years in same plots.
The details information about sugarcane cultivation which is published by “Sakal Papers” in the name of Advance Technique of Sugarcane Farming is also distributed to the selected 200 progressive farmers in the area of operation. It is helpful to know and aware about innovative techniques of sugarcane cultivation.
To know the innovative techniques of sugarcane cultivation we arrange farmers melava, training and visit to the other progressive farmers plot under the guidance of VSI and Padegaon research station. It helps to made aware about advance techniques of sugarcane cultivation and adoption of the same at their own farm.
We also provide training to the staff of agriculture dept. about innovative techniques of sugarcane cultivation. It helps to refresh the knowledge and keep in touch about innovative technique of sugarcane cultivation.
To increase the use of vermicompost as a organic fertilizer in sugarcane farming , we motivate the farmers to established such vermicompost unit at their own farm. We also established such vermicompost unit at our factory site as a model unit for farmers.
To minimize the cost of labour in sugarcane cultivation, we decided to distribute mini Kubota tractor for doing easily intercultural operation in sugarcane crop. In these scheme out of total quotation amount farmers are contributing 5% amount, factory have contributing 20% amount and remaining 75% amount by taking loan from Bank Of India which is recovered from cane payment within 5 years installments.
By considering the importance of fruits in good health as well as to minimize the pollution in the environment ,we are supplying horticultural plants like Coconut, Mango, Chikku, Custered Apple, Guava, Aonla etc. at no loss no profit basis to the farmers.
To increase the area under ratoon crop as well as yield per ha. we are implementing ratoon management scheme under the guidance of VSI scientist .We motivate the farmers to keep sugarcane trash as it is to minimize the water evaporation from soil as well as for organic matter. We also distribute the water soluble fertilizers for spraying on sugarcane crop on a credit basis to the farmers.
Factory have own plant nursery where seedling of ornamental floriculture plants were prepared and planted at our karkhana site.
We prepare a good quality compost from garden waste material like dried leaves, cutting etc.
