Bagasse is used as a major fuel source for power cogeneration. This cogeneration benefits the environment by reducing the greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere.

We at DSPL generate 82 MW of power from modern co-generation plant.
We installed India's largest spent wash fire boilers -
40 TPH, 44 kg/cm² & 390⁰ C with 4MW generation &
30 TPH, 44 kg/cm² & 390⁰ C with 3MW generation &
achieved Zero Liquid Discharge.
